Edward O. Moran
Alternative Energy & Telecom Advisor - InforanEdward O. Moran is a very experienced (over 20 years) alternative energy and Telecom advisor for global emerging markets. His alternative energy expertise is mainly in the area of biofules. A few years ago, he wrote a very detailed business plan to take the superior Brazilian Ethanol production technology from sugar cane and implement it in Asian countries where the sugar cane is a native and widely available crop.
Recently he has been working on the implementation of the business plan mentioned above to produce bio ethanol from sugar cane in Vietnam - it will be a conjunction of sugar cane plantation with adjacent ethanol refinery facilities. The project entails cultivating sugarcane plantation to a maximum capacity (through a carefully selected agro-planning procedure), and building and operating an ethanol production refinery by capitalizing on the 35+ years of Brazilian expertise in that area.
Mr. Moran has been providing consulting and advisory services under the flag of Inforan international Telecom / Alternative Energy advisory services – a company he founded in the early 90’s to provides strategic and management consulting & advisory services in the area of technology, media, telecommunications and alternative energy (biofuels segment) for both developed and developing markets. It offers a wide variety of services such as strategic advisory for M&A, macroeconomic research, market / region / sector / product / service studies, risk & credit assessments, regulatory / tariff studies, business plan development & execution among others
Mr. Moran has been involved in recent years in extensive research and green field projects of renewable fuels in several global markets. He has been providing consultancy on Ethanol and biodiesel production / international trading in several markets also evaluating Ethanol refinery buildup in emerging markets where sugar cane is abundant. He is currently involved with the re-capitalization efforts of many sugar cane ethanol producers in Brazil who are looking to expand their operations as demand for ethanol continues to grow globally.
Mr. Moran maintains good working relationships with several multinational corporations that are part of the value chain of Ethanol & biodiesel production / commerce globally and monitor closely the evolution of the Brazilian sugar cane Ethanol production and industrialization (Brazil - the world’s largest and most efficient producer of sugar cane Ethanol).
He received his International MBA degree from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California (USC) in July of 2003. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering (B.Sc.EE) from Tel-Aviv University, Israel. He speaks fluently Spanish and Portuguese.
